Today Braylon took his first steps unassisted and as you can see, we're all pretty excited!

What a Difference a Year Makes
On Saturday, we not only celebrated another year in the life of Bryan, but we marveled at the difference a year can make. Just last year, these three boys were anxiously awaiting the arrival of their blessed children. Well, look at them now! It was so great to get together with everyone and their kids for a fun filled day. The Prier clan came over and enjoyed the pool and outdoor fun. Here are Tristan and Riley blowing bubbles.
Braylon, Sara, and Briggs enjoyed some time in the playroom out of the heat!
Greg, Sara, and Briggs stayed over and the little boys enjoyed some time together first thing in the morning. We were all up at 6:30am! What a difference a year makes!

Little Reader
Braylon loves to look at picture books. He's getting really good at turning pages all by himself and we'll often find him immersed in this book. I think he likes this book in particular because of the fun illustrations. We've made book time a regular part of our routine and he really seems to enjoy reading.

Duh Duh
Braylon often says "duh, duh", but we're not quite sure if that's his way of saying "daddy" or not. At any rate, he knows and loves his dad. I looked and looked for an appropriate card from Braylon for Father's Day and this is what I went with:
Dad,
You don't have to have tights and a cape to be my Hero.
And if you DO have tights and a cape, don't tell me.
It'd just be CREEPY.

Eleven Months
I'm having a hard time accepting that my little boy is growing up! It seems impossible that we are nearing the one year mark. The past eleven months have flown by! In preparation for Braylon's first birthday, Bryan and I have been looking through our pictures and video of Braylon. It's simply amazing how much he has changed. Here's a quick glance at the changes.
This first video is of him at 4 months on a day that he was rather "talkative". It's really long, but you'll get the gist after 30 secs or so. I'm still trying to figure out how to edit our long videos.
This one is after he first starting standing up to play. This one is rather long too, but pretty darn cute!

The Green Monster
Here's a short clip of Braylon eating avocados...let's just say he's supposed to be eating avocados!
In this one, he's eating grass and he's not supposed to be! We've got a theme going here.

License to Drive
Braylon has been cruising around in his new walker at high speeds. He's now able to maneuver the thing pretty well which allows him to explore and get into almost anything! He's also learned to wave "bye bye". Here's a short video clip...
He's been walking with the help of his lion cart too. He'll be walking on his own in no time!

A Whale of a Pool
We bought Braylon his first swimming pool last weekend and he loves it. It has a simple water feature and is big enough to hold several of Braylon's little friends. We got it in anticipation of his birthday and other summer gatherings we plan to host at our house. I think he and his friends will have a whale of a time!
