Sweet Cheeks

If there's one thing I love more than a baby's feet, it's their cute little bottom. I had the camera on hand during bath time the other evening and couldn't resist snapping a few shots of Braylon's sweet cheeks. As I did this, I reminded him to "sit on your bottom". I'm the worst, I know!

First Birthday Celebration

Braylon began his first birthday celebration a day early when Pop and Grandma Jean arrived with gifts. He was really excited about this adorable little red chair that Pop got him. He climbed right up and sat in it, just like a big boy.
The following morning, Braylon enjoyed the company of his Uncle Wyatt. They read some books together and played before the big party. Meanwhile, I finalized the decorations complete with my first ever attempt at decorating a cake. I was pleased with the final result!

Then, it was party time! We had a total of 20 guests and Braylon really enjoyed all the attention and gifts. We are so lucky to have such great friends and family.
Finally, the moment we'd all been waiting for...the ooey, gooey, and always entertaining eating of the cake. Braylon didn't get too crazy with his cake, but definitely hammed it up for his audience.

We all had a really great time and are thankful to those that joined us to celebrate our baby's first year! Here's to the next 12 months and beyond!!

Balloon Fun

Braylon has had this balloon for over a month now and has yet to pop it. He loves to put it in his mouth and carry it around with him wherever he goes. He also likes to kick and chase after it with help from Mommy and Daddy.

Notice in the picture below how his hair is curling just above his ears. It's kinda cute, but it also looks kinda messy! What to do?!

Slider

Braylon and I went to the park on Sunday and discovered that he really likes the little slide. He can almost go down all by himself. He sits at the top with a really big grin and then scoots himself to the edge and reaches for Mommy's hand. He swooshes down to the bottom...

...and then he tries to climb back up to do it all over again!

Happy 4th of July

The Wheaton Street Independence Day Parade was this morning and we captured some fun pics from the event. Jason, Kelly, Tristan and Riley walked/rode in the parade with us. Here are a few pics.

Tristan was a speed demon on his bike and he left us in the dust. Kelly chased him while Jason, Bryan and I kept a steady pace with the wagon!

After the mile long walk, we all enjoyed a festive popsicle. Braylon isn't quite sure if he likes his.

We plan to meet up with the Prier's and Bouyack's this evening for some live music, food and fireworks. More to come...
