Who's He Look Like?

Recently, I've had many people ask me who Braylon looks like. Here's my answer...

Happy Thanksgiving

We made the long trip to SW Kansas for the Thanksgiving holiday. It was great to see our families and spend some time with those we don't often see. Braylon was able to enjoy the company of his cousins this year. Here he is with his cousin, Devin.

We spent Thanksgiving day at my grandparents home. Here we are with Braylon's Great Grandpa and Grandma Cook.

It was such a gorgeous day, we spent the majority of the time outdoors. Braylon loved watching the big kids play football and even managed to steal the ball a time or two. Daddy was charged with the responsibility of chasing after him!
On Friday afternoon, we visited Bryan's family. Braylon enjoyed his time with his Great Grandpa Arthur as they read books together. Like father, like son!

Outdoor Fun

We've been lucky enough to have a couple nice days this weekend. Braylon and I enjoyed some time outdoors this morning. He loves to play catch with any ball that is around. We kicked and threw balls back and forth for a while. Then he decided he would "make" something to eat with his shovel and tupperware. He would stir it up and then take a pretend bite.

After all of that play, it was time for a rest. He must have really been tired, because he napped for an hour and a half just a soon as we retreated inside.

Littlest Ramsay

I wanted to provide a quick update on my pregnancy. We've recovered from the "twins" scare and things are progressing well. Right now I'm 22 weeks pregnant, but am measuring a little under that, so at our next visit we may schedule another ultrasound if I'm still measuring small. This is just a precaution to double check due date and monitor the baby's growth. In addition, we'll be able to take a peek down under and hopefully determine the baby's sex. The more my pregnancy progresses, the more I want to know! I'm feeling boy, but will be pleased either way. I am starting to feel lots of movement which is always very exciting! Just like with Braylon, this baby kicks around most just before I drift off to sleep at night and right before lunch. Braylon is becoming more aware of Mommy's growing belly, especially my surfacing belly button. He is totally oblivious to what is to come, but gives my belly and the baby kisses and hugs. I have plans to get him a baby doll soon to begin to introduce the idea to him and his role as big brother. He is so loving to everyone he meets, I don't have any doubt that he will be a loving and caring big brother.

Go Cats!

We were fortunate enough to land some tickets to the KU vs. K-State game last weekend. Braylon cheered on the team to a Wildcat victory. He is now able to mutter an audible, "Go Cats!", complete with a fist pump!

Braylon enjoyed the company of another little tailgater, Cooper. The pair ambushed the coloring party of two little girls and took over the crayons. Cooper was nice enough to share his Grandpa Tom's bus with us to get a break from the sun and share his markers and gold fish.

The day was wonderful all the way around... beautiful weather, good friends, and a Wildcat win!

The War is On!

In preparation for the Sunflower Showdown, we dressed Braylon is K-State gear for school this week. This is how cute and happy he was this morning before he left for school. Most of the staff at Stepping Stones are KU fans and don't necessarily appreciate our K-State pride, so they're always turning his shirts inside out or doing some other silly things to his K-State flair. Today, they went a little too far and Braylon was not happy about it as you can see!

Halloween

Our Halloween festivities began with the traditional pumpkin carving. Braylon helped clean out the pumpkins, while Bryan and I each carved one. Bryan's Powercat pumpkin turned out great! I'm not sure it was such a big hit with all of our trick-or-treaters, but we loved it!

Braylon sported his costume without a problem. He enjoyed walking up and down the drive way, looking for all the big kid trick-or-treaters. We only went to a few houses as most of our neighbors were out with their kids. But, we had a great time handing out candy to all of the ghoulish visitors we had.

Braylon got into some of the loot and picked out the candy he wanted and put it in his treat bucket. He really enjoyed the Reese's Peanut butter cups and Hershey's bars.
