Dad

Walk a Little Slower Daddy

"Walk a little slower, Daddy", said a little child so small.
I'm following in your footsteps and I don't want to fall.
Sometimes your steps are very fast, sometimes they're hard to see;
So walk a little slower Daddy, for you are leading me.
Someday when I'm all grown up, you're what I want to be.
Then I will have a little child who'll want to follow me.
And I would want to lead just right, and know that I was true;
So, walk a little slower Daddy, for I must follow you!

Dad's Day

On Sunday, we celebrated Father's Day with a little water hose fun. I bought all of these nifty water toys, but wouldn't you know it, Braylon is not interested in them but he absolutely loves the hose.

After getting many "dinks" and a good soaking, Braylon goofed around and showed off some new tricks. He does a pretty good bear crawl!

Miss Macyn

Our little angel is nearing her 3 month birthday. She is changing so much, it's unbelievable! She is super animated now, responding with her big, open mouth grin when you talk to her.

She is getting stronger and working to lift her head and sit up with support. Her dark hair is now blond and her big brother adores her now more than ever!

Jump and Slide

Last weekend I took Braylon and Macy to Monkey Bizness for some cool indoor fun. We were literally the only people there for an hour and a half, so I was able to get in the bounce house with Braylon and capture some fun video. He just loved it anytime he fell down. He'd laugh and laugh and do it all over again!

With Macyn securely strapped to my chest, I boosted Braylon up the steps to the top of the slide so he could tumble down over and over and over. He got pretty creative a few times.

Choo Choo

On Sunday, Bryan and I took the kids to Baldwin City for a day out with Thomas. The event included a 20 minute ride on Thomas the Train, a petting zoo, bubbles, bounce houses and trains, trains, and more trains. Oh, and a firetruck!
It took Braylon a while to warm up to the idea of a train ride in the open air car. He rode like this, clutching on to Daddy's neck, for the first half of the trip. We worried that the train whistle would scare him, but he didn't seem to mind it; rather he seemed bothered by the fact that we were going backwards initially.

Once we headed back the other way, Braylon loosened up and even spotted an "airpane". He's definitely got an ear and eye for airplanes. He always spotting them and pointing them out.

Macyn slept through the train ride, but was awake to watch big brother feed the goats and cows. Here's a short clip.

Fun with Friends

We had friends over on Sunday for a little fun in the sun. Braylon really loves to hang with the bigger kids. They all got in a little pool time and outdoor fun before the rain hit. In this shot, "Tistan" and "Rywee" are showing Braylon how to color his toes with sidewalk chalk.

We couldn't really hear what Braylon was saying to Riley, but I think he's uttering one of his pick up lines and trying to win her over with his bubble blowing technique :)

I love the quick shot feature on my camera because I can capture these great action shots. The kids are always on the go, so I have to be quick on the trigger :)
