Whirlwind

Between chasing two very mobile and energetic toddlers and dealing with the illnesses we've all had recently, it seems that I just have not had time to blog. Here's a quick peek at what we've been up to since Macy's first birthday.

We celebrated March Madness and St. Patrick's Day with a little Wildcat cheer and a trip to the parade. The Wildcat cheer didn't last long, but Macy sure did turn a few heads in her little getup!

Braylon loved the parade and these were some of his favorite gigs. He wasn't sure what the Free State Brewery float was all about, so I explained that those guys were "beer". He said, "That's funny! I like beer!" Oh boy!!

Macy sported a mowhawk all day one day. I can't wait until I can doll her up with barrettes and pony tails!!
Braylon and some of his pals enjoyed a birthday celebration at the local gymnastics academy. His favorites are the "giant, giant slide" and the foam pits.

While basking in the warm sun one evening, Braylon and Macyn enjoyed a little snack together. Of course Charlie was right in the middle of everything. It seems that Macy and Braylon are in a standoff. Look at that face!

We are looking forward to a sunny weekend and a few much needed outdoor excursions :)

Birthday Girl

It seems like only yesterday, we brought home our newborn baby girl. Well, back to reality and one year later, we welcome a whole new set of joys with our precious little girl. On Saturday, our families joined us as we celebrated Macyn's first birthday. She was unsure of the whole gift thing, but really enjoyed the tissue paper used to wrap the gifts!
Macy loved her cake and ate it right up. After a quick bath and some playtime, Macy enjoyed her favorite dish: spaghetti! Needless to say, she took a second bath before winding down for the night!
Happy Birthday Macyn! We love you!

Bilateral Myringotomy Tympanostomy

In other words... ear tubes! Macy had tubes put in a week ago and she definitely seems to be more comfortable. She's always been a happy girl, but the past week, she's been a different kind of happy. She's sleeping better and as I suspected would happen, is babbling up a storm :) This shot of Macy with a mowhawk really shows how much better she is feeling!
