Braylon and I took the Amtrak train to Southwest Kansas last weekend to visit our family. We left Lawrence at 12:30am and got in to Garden City at 6:45am. My parents left us their car, so we made the hour and a half drive to Manter arriving just in time for breakfast. On Saturday afternoon, we visited Great Grandma and Grandpa Cook and took a few pictures of Grandma with 3 of the grandchildren and 2 of her great-grandchildren.
We stayed with my Mom and were able to play with cousins Caelyn and Rylie on Saturday while their parents golfed. Braylon loved all the big kids and tried his best to keep up. He just loved sitting on Grammy Jo's fireplace ledge while talking on the phone.
We enjoyed our visit with everyone and the kids really seemed to enjoy seeing Braylon again, especially now that he's fully mobile. Josie and Wyatt chased him around the house, but we were able to slow him down enough to snap a few pics.
I think he's pinning down Uncle Wyatt in this shot!
We left for home Sunday evening, boarding the train in Garden City at 11:30pm and arriving in Lawrence at 5:45am. Boy, were we happy to see Daddy that morning! We all went home and slept for 2 more hours. It was good to be home.
