Tailgater

Braylon has become quite the little tailgater. He's been to three KU tailgates and made his debut at the Abbott's tailgate for the K-State game on Saturday. As you can see, he has plenty of little people to play with. Riley and Tristan are his KU tailgating buddies, while he has little Cooper to hang with at the K-State games.
We were excited to take Braylon to his very first K-State football game. The weather was nice, a bit warm, but overall we had a good day. We hung out with the Abbott clan at their tailgate and Braylon caught a cat nap before we headed in. Luckily, we were in the shade once inside the stadium so we were able to enjoy the entire first half before heading back out to pack up and head home. We listened to the remainder of the game on our way home and were pleased to get a Wildcat victory! Here's a shot of Bryan and Braylon in front of the Abbott's K-State bus.

Catbacker

Braylon dressed in purple for his first K-State football game. The Cats played Louisville and unfortunately, we didn't have much to cheer about as they lost 38-29. Bryan's sister came over for dinner and watched part of the game with us. Braylon napped off and on throughout the game and also enjoyed some quality time with his Aunt Amber. We finally captured a picture of the two of them together.

Two Months

Today marks Braylon's 2 month birthday. It's hard to believe our little guy has gone from an 8 pound 1 oz, 20 inch baby boy who was swamped by his new outfit.... ...to a 12 pound 4 oz, 24 1/4 inch big boy in just over 8 weeks! He's outgrown that outfit now! I have to look back at his newborn pictures just to remember how little he was. It's amazing how fast they grow! We had Braylon's 2 month doctor's appointment on September 16th and he is in the 75th percentile for his weight and the 95th percentile for his length. He was a champ and endured 3 pokes in his little thighs for immunizations. He cried for a bit, but Mommy cried too! He spent some time with his "woobie" the remainder of the day for added comfort.
A lot has happened in the two months since Braylon's birth. He's enjoyed a trip to SW Kansas to visit family. He partied it up with the Abbott's during their wedding celebration. He's attended two KU football tailgates and witnessed his first K-State football defeat. He has "slept through the night" once by giving Mommy a good five hour rest from 8pm to 1am! And, most importantly, he's learned that he will be moving to a new house just in time for Halloween! Bryan and I continue to be amazed by this little guy. We feel blessed to have him and are looking forward to watching Braylon grow and change in the upcoming months.

Great Graphics

We have really enjoyed dressing Braylon up in his graphic onsies. Sometimes, his mood is the deciding factor in what we choose to dress him in and sometimes, Bryan and I just need a laugh. It seems that Braylon gets a kick out of his "My Dad's a Geek" onsie too! This onsie was given to Braylon by his Uncle Brooks, one of Bryan's best friends. The picture below displays his "Face It, It's Time To Call Grandma" onsie which, on this particular date, was so true. You can tell by the look on his face that we were having a rough day. Don't be fooled by the seemingly innocent, slumbering baby pictured below. I believe on this day, Braylon made a second attempt to poop on Daddy during a diaper change. He truly is a rebel sometimes! Here he is on that same day, plotting to get back at us with the help of Charlie. Doesn't he look mischievous? Finally, the onsie that says it all...the "I am Boob Man" onsie. Enough said!

Daddy's Boy

Braylon sported this outfit yesterday when the weather was a bit cooler. This is one of the outfits I used when I surprised Bryan with the news that I was pregnant, so it has some significance. It's also significant because the graphic is so true! It reads, "Daddy's Best Buddy". Braylon and Bryan are a duo to die for! They hang out all the time watching Sports Center, The History Channel, Jeopardy, etc. Braylon also gets some tummy time in while lounging on Daddy's chest. Look at him holding his head up to get a look at Daddy! I think he's trying to say something..or he's getting ready to chomp on Daddy's nose! He is growing so fast we'll soon be chasing him around the yard! I really look forward to watching this relationship between father and son develop. They truly are best buddies!
